Description
Congou is the joyful Chinese expression for the finest black leaf on which this tea is based. Part fired to reduce the moisture content, the tea is then layered with freshly cut rose petals and left to suffuse in the delicate strips of whole leaves.
The marriage of the natural oils from the tea and roses imbue a liquor that is rich and deep, characterised by a sweet refreshing taste and layered with the fragrant, yet delicate, notes of rose.
As a sweet tea, it is best enjoyed on its own, although some do say a dash of milk softens the rose flavours. An investment for a perfect afternoon refreshment.
Best brewed for 3-5 minutes.
