A smooth rich coffee with a clean taste, medium body and sweet acidity, (less acidity than other centrals as it grown lower – around 1000m.).
Originally grown on the Sierra Maestra ‘Oriente’ by the fleeing slaves from Haiti.
The brand name for Cuban coffee is Turquino and refers to the top screens, 17 & 18. There are three main growing regions in Cuba, the crop is picked January/February.

Suitable for cafetière and filter.
